In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." I do some off road running and these are pretty decent shoes for that. I don't recommend using them for lots of road/sidwalks, as the hard soles and rubber cleats tend to get uncomfortable after awhile.

These have performed more tasks then they are meant for. Great for track running, and crazy ossim on multi-turf fields.

There great shoes this is my second pair of hyper xcs, Be cafeful with the size guide as it isnt intirely accurate with sizes.
